Info: I've been drawing for as long as I can remember, so much so that I'm often remembered as 'the girl that is always drawing.' I love japanese art, from woodblock prints to more contempory artist as well as manga, and this has had a great influence on my drawing style. Since getting into manga I've attempted doing some of my own comic strips but they have mostly been limited to one page long, so I thought I should challenge myself and draw something longer. Hybrid is my first full length comic and therefore I am learning as I go and enjoy seeing the progress it is making.

The Story

Hybrid is set in England, in an alternate Earth, where a variety of humanoid spiecies co-exist. Genetic science has advanced well beyond expectations leading to the creation of human/animal hybrids.
15 years before the main story one of these creatures escaped the laboratory and caused devastation wherever it went. As a result the humans built up an intense hatred for anyone not 100% genetically human (including those not created by science).
Now those who survived the cull must fight if they want to reclaim their rights and be accepted in the world again. But as Cal tries to come to terms with his firey new abilities, his best friend Hotaru's secret is discovered, and while Amaya tries to deal with the intrusion into her secluded life, another Hybrid escapes! As they all struggle to merely survive, a chance encounter with another half-human throws them all into the fight for existance.
